Esta tabela contém dados em tempo real, portanto, os registros são inseridos consistentemente. Estou tentando excluir dados com mais de 5 dias. Mas quando a exclusão está em execução, tenho várias instruções de inserção que geram um conflito.

Aqui está a consulta de exclusão. A #ToPurgetabela contém o ID que precisa ser excluído. A #ToPurgetabela não possui nenhum índice. O número de linhas pode variar, mas para o meu caso de teste, havia mais de 3 milhões:

Como você pode ver no plano de execução, o otimizador não usa o índice clusterizado do primário, mas usa a chave Unique que não contém o campo Id. Penso que esta é a razão pela qual tenho um impasse, pois ele precisa bloquear mais páginas do que se estivesse usando o índice correto.

Eu tento adicionar um índice não agrupado com o ID e depois o otimizador está usando.

Esta será uma decisão do otimizador baseado em custos. Ele estima que é mais barato verificar completamente o índice restrito.

O plano de execução mostra que a tabela #ToPurgepossui 3,9 milhões de linhas.

Isso levará 195 lotes a serem liberados. Supondo que todas as linhas de entrada #ToPurgesejam únicas e existam inicialmente Production_Detaile que as linhas de saída #ToPurgeestejam em uma ordem consistente para cada lote (estou ignorando o paralelismo), cada lote sucessivo acabará procurando todas as linhas que já foram excluídas na anterior lotes antes de finalmente chegar a um patch de linhas que ainda não foram processadas, no total, seu deleteprocesso fará mais de um terço de um bilhão de índice de procura de linhas já excluídas .

0 + 20,000 + 40,000 + ... + 3,880,000 = 378,300,000

Essa não é a lógica que o otimizador baseado em custos usa (que envolverá histogramas das duas tabelas e um tempo de linha para o TOP 20000), mas mostra que essa não é uma boa estratégia.

Você pode tentar o seguinte para limitar o número de buscas em 20.000 por iteração e verificar se agora obtém o plano desejado.
