Isso significa que não há nenhuma provisão para adicionar o campo do tipo "VARCHAR" a qualquer tabela no Magento 2?

Bem, qualquer um pode sugerir como substituir esse arquivo para permitir que o campo do tipo "VARCHAR" seja adicionado e atualizado com scripts de instalação?

Se você estiver usando:

Ele irá retornar uma coluna que seu dabase uma coluna: your_column, tipo varchar(55), NOT NULL,Default 0

Se sua coluna tiver mais 255 caracteres, você precisará usar:

Retornar uma coluna: nome your_column, tipo mediumtext, NOT NULL,Default 0

Obrigado. Eu acho que a nomeação é um pouco óbvia e um pouco "mágica", que é o que leva a esse problema em primeiro lugar. Eu acho que o Magento teria sido melhor criar um tipo explícito vs adicionar uma instrução if.

Não existe uma palavra-chave chamada "VARCHAR". Se você deseja criar um campo com varchar, precisa usar "TEXT" com comprimento se o comprimento não for passado, ele será considerado como texto arquivado
