Estou desenvolvendo uma página da web em um ambiente de navegador da web misto (Chrome / IE11). O IE11 não oferece suporte a variáveis CSS. Existe um polyfill ou script que me permita usar variáveis CSS no IE11?

Sim, contanto que você esteja processando propriedades personalizadas de nível raiz (IE9 +).

Como funciona
O script faz uso do fato de que o IE tem suporte mínimo de propriedades personalizadas, onde as propriedades podem ser definidas e lidas com a cascata em mente.

Tentei esta versão do Polyfill, mas acabei com erros quando uma linha no CSS tinha várias variáveis (fonte FI e cor). Um colega meu me ajudou. Consulte a linha 94.
