nic: Algo mau aconteceu! ffff

Estou configurando um roteador GNU / Linux com Debian Stretch (9.7) e antes de reiniciar o servidor, todo o tráfego de uma interface para outra estava indo bem, mas depois disso, recebi uma mensagem como esta (tty):

enp1s6: Something Wicked happened! ffff.

Eu tenho um host no mesmo switch e na mesma rede, para fins de teste e, basicamente, a LAN do roteador não está respondendo a solicitações de eco.

Parece que sua placa de rede Sundance 10/100 é antiga, talvez muito antiga ...

Consulte https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748973 (o módulo Ethernet Sundance 10/100 f16 trava quando conectado ao roteador gigabit)

Você aposta, cara. A propósito, é bastante antigo, suportando 10/100. Acabei de colocar outra placa de rede aqui e boom: ela começou a funcionar normalmente, sem alterar uma única linha em nenhum arquivo de configuração, nem mesmo brigando com os módulos do Kernel. Vou ficar com esta placa de rede aqui (chipset Accton Technology Corp). Obrigado.

De acordo com sua saída da ethtool, notei que o enp1s6 não está relatando como suporte à negociação automática. Também está desabilitado no dispositivo / porta que você está conectando? Se possível, ajuste o dispositivo ao qual você está se conectando para ativar a negociação automática. Se você não tem acesso a esse dispositivo ou não deseja alterá-lo, pode ser necessário forçar uma velocidade / duplix no enp1s6.

Está bem. Faz sentido. Mas como faço isso (forçar a negociação automática na enp1s6)? A propósito, removi esta NIC e instalei outra, que possui negociação automática por padrão (de acordo com a ethtoolsaída da nova NIC), e tudo está funcionando bem com o "Roteador": com meu outro host no lado da LAN, eu pode executar ping na LAN NIC do roteador, também acessando a Internet. Obrigado.
