O cliente openvpn se conecta ao servidor, mas a resolução de nomes não funciona

o gerenciador de rede foi eliminado; Eu fiz um apt-clean após a desinstalação. você precisa do pacote network-manager-openvpn ao executar o openvpn com o network-manager

Eu não acho que é um problema de roteamento, porque o ping para um IP da Internet ou para o DNS ips (do vpn) volta normalmente.

Eu verifiquei o syslog, mas não encontrei nenhum registro relacionado à VPN.

Eu tentei outro provedor de VPN gratuito e tenho exatamente o mesmo problema.

Eu procurei várias vezes no google, mas não consegui encontrar nenhuma resposta ou lead aceitável. Começa a tornar-se insano neste momento, porque começo a fazer os mesmos testes repetidamente e não sei o que fazer.

as postagens que eu já li no stackoverflow:

Sem internet na conexão OpenVPN -> a solução é colocar 'push "dhcp-option DNS 8.8.8.8"' no servidor conf. Quanto a mim, esta opção aparece na saída de depuração ao iniciar o cliente.

OpenVPN + iptables: não encaminhando tráfego -> é um problema relacionado ao servidor + regras do iptables.

(RESOLVIDO) OpenVPN - Conexão do gerenciador de rede Ubuntu ok, mas sem resolver, sem executar ping, sem internet -> este parecia muito interessante, mas o problema de dns foi resolvido com o comando dnsmasq no vps.

/superuser/717383/vpn-dns-resolution -> Acho que esse é um problema relacionado ao servidor.

O servidor OpenVPN não fornece acesso à Internet -> nenhuma solução é fornecida, mas acho que isso é mais um iptables (opção de encaminhamento) ou problema relacionado ao servidor.

Enviei um email para os dois provedores de VPN, mas não obtive resposta após mais de dois dias.

O Ubuntu faz coisas mágicas com o DNS, mas felizmente o OpenVPN fornece uma maneira de lidar com isso. Se você instalou o openvpn a partir dos repositórios do Ubuntu, terá um script em / etc / openvpn / update-resolv-conf para informar ao Ubuntu qual DNS ele deve usar para sua conexão vpn. Para usá-lo, adicione as seguintes linhas ao seu arquivo de configuração openvpn:

script-security 2
up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

Isso executará o script quando sua conexão VPN for ativada e desativada e atualizará as configurações de DNS de acordo.

Editar (20-06-2018): Como o @Thenightmanager menciona nos comentários, o Ubuntu moderno (pelo menos 18.04 e mais recente) introduziu alguma mágica extra no DNS do sistema, e o script update-resolv-conf pode não ser mais suficiente. Confira update-systemd-resolved para uma possível alternativa de trabalho.

Vale ressaltar que alguma forma de NAT deve ocorrer para que o DNS (ou qualquer dado da Internet) funcione através de uma VPN. Tipicamente: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.8.0.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE

No entanto, você declara:

iptables não instalado

Se for esse o caso, o roteador da LAN do servidor deve executar o NAT e ter uma rota estática para a VPN apontada para o IP do servidor VPN.

Mesmo problema aqui no Ubuntu 15 e no OpenVPN 2.3.2: o "dhcp-option DNS 8.8.8.8" não é levado em consideração pelo cliente.

Minha solução foi usar o Network Management Framework (+ plugin openvpn) para configurar a VPN. Mas, novamente, o "DNS da opção dhcp" não é levado em consideração, então eu adicionei o 8.8.8.8 manualmente em "Configurações de IPV4 / servidores DNS". Só então eu posso ver no log:
