O problema que estou tendo é que após a exploração em GNOME Shell 3.4.1on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.

Após um curto período de tempo (aproximadamente 0 a 2 minutos), o shell gnome não responde.

Passar o mouse sobre o canto / clicar no botão atividades não faz nada, o
Windows fica parado (o aplicativo está respondendo, mas o gnomo não está).
Além disso, o Alt+ F2não faz nada.

A única maneira de saber como resolver esse problema é acessar o shell do Linux pressionando
Ctrl+ Alt+ any from F1 to F6, fazer login e reiniciar o serviço lightdm.

sudo service lightdm restart 

Portanto, a pergunta é: como resolver o problema de travamento do Gnome 3 após o logon?

Eu tive problemas semelhantes com o Ubuntu 12.04 e o Gnome 3.4. Consegui minimizar a frequência dos congelamentos, fazendo o seguinte:

• Desativar drivers de vídeo proprietários
• Adicione ppa: gnome3-team / gnome3 às fontes e atualize
• Além disso, você pode tentar aguardar 30 segundos. antes de efetuar login. Pode parecer bobagem, mas acho que nem todos os componentes estão prontos quando a tela de login é apresentada ao usuário. (você pode culpar a Canonical por tentar trapacear nos horários de inicialização :))

A única coisa que resolveu esse problema definitivamente, pelo menos no meu caso, foi a atualização para o Ubuntu 12.10 e Gnome 3.6.

Como esta é uma instalação flash, podemos criar um novo usuário.

1. Login do terminal de texto

2. Adicione um novo usuário

   sudo adduser <username>
   

3. Adicionar novo usuário ao sudogrupo ouadmin

   sudo adduser <username> sudo
   

4. Volte para o X e tente fazer login com um novo usuário
