Bash demorando muito tempo para carregar

Então, quando abro um terminal (ctrl + alt + t), leva cerca de 6 segundos para o prompt aparecer, e posso observar (executando a parte superior de outro terminal) que está usando 99% da CPU para fazer isso.

O que pode estar causando isso? Carregou instantaneamente antes.

Estou executando o Ubuntu 13.04, minha CPU é um Intel core i7-2600K @ 3.4GHz e tenho 16 GB de RAM.

O que acontece se você correr bash --noprofile? Além disso, tente iniciá-lo bash -vpara obter uma saída detalhada do processo de inicialização.

Provavelmente, é a conclusão do bash que leva tempo para carregar. Tente comentar a seção que origina / etc / bash-complete.

E veja se você consegue acelerar. Eu também comentei isso devido ao tempo necessário para carregar. Sem ele, você obtém a conclusão padrão, que é principalmente a conclusão do nome do arquivo. O que o bash-complete adiciona é a conclusão de coisas como nomes de pacotes quando você digita, por exemplo apt-get install foo<tab>.

Se você deseja ver tudo o que acontece quando o bash é iniciado no modo interativo (sem login), tente:

PS4='+ $BASH_SOURCE:$LINENO:' bash -xic ''

EDITAR

Com base nas informações adicionais fornecidas na pergunta e nos comentários da pergunta, o problema real foi que o arquivo de histórico tinha algumas linhas gigantescas, que levaram tempo para o bash ler e analisar. Portanto, a solução nesse caso é truncar o arquivo

> "$HISTFILE"

ou edite-o manualmente e remova as linhas gigantescas.

Não consegui encontrar as linhas listadas acima sobre a conclusão do bash. No meu arquivo / etc / bash_completion existe a seguinte linha:. / usr / share / bash-complete / bash_completion e neste arquivo não encontrei essas linhas.

A HISTFILEvariável foi a culpada por mim.

Eu corri:

echo $HISTFILE 

para ver a localização do HISTFILE.

Eu editei $HISTFILEem um editor de texto e retirei as linhas principais e deixei apenas os últimos 50 comandos, o que me parece bastante.

Também defino as seguintes variáveis .bashrcpara garantir que apenas os últimos 500 comandos sejam mantidos e o tamanho máximo de HISTFILE100 kilobytes.

A outra coisa a verificar é HISTSIZE

echo $HISTSIZE

Descobri que para grandes números, isso faz com que o bash demore um pouco para iniciar. Então agora eu configurei para 1000, o que parece razoável. Você ainda pode manter o seu HISTFILESIZEtamanho grande (o meu está a 200k).

minhas configurações completas do histórico em .bashrc se parecem com:
