Não é possível reinstalar o VirtualBox no Ubuntu 16.04

Acabei de atualizar para o Ubuntu 16.04 a partir de 15.10 e meu VirtualBox não quer mais começar. Eu tentei limpar virtualbox, virtualbox-dkmse vagrant do meu sistema e parece funcionar (eu não sou um administrador de sistemas de todo, por isso, mantenha-o estúpido simples). Depois que eu reinstalar usando o DEB online ou usando apt-get, recebo isso no final:

Tentei olhar, dmesgmas não tenho idéia do que fazer com esse monte de informações e duvido que colar tudo aqui seja interessante. Se você sabe onde eu devo procurar, será um prazer incluir uma parte dele!

Iniciar o VBox e tentar criar uma das minhas caixas vagantes me mostrou que eu deveria ter corrido modprobecomo root. Recebi esta mensagem ao executar sudo modprobe vboxdrv:

Você não estava usando um pacote de extensão que precisa ser atualizado, estava? Fiz exatamente a mesma coisa (em termos de versão) e ele não foi iniciado até me lembrar de que não havia atualizado o pacote de extensão, depois disso tudo foi tranquilo.

Você poderia incluir a saída de dmesgqualquer maneira, por favor? Apenas os itens que ocorrem nos 10 segundos seguintes à execução sudo modprobe vbxdrv(execute dmesgantes e depois e inclua apenas as novas entradas no final). A saída uname -ae modinfo vboxdrvajudaria também.

@fkraiem A deb online é o AMD64 para Ubuntu 16 na página de download do VirtualBox, que provavelmente é a que está sendo instalada por padrão!

Eu encontrei a resposta, era aquela coisa de inicialização segura instalada pelo Ubuntu durante a atualização. As instruções não eram claras sobre como remover essa coisa de inicialização segura, mas eu consegui fazê-lo.

  1. Reinicie o computador depois de instalar os drivers DKMS para VBOX
  2. Você será solicitado com uma tela azul com 2 opções: aguarde ou altere as configurações do MDK
  3. Ao escolher alterar as configurações do MDK e inserir os caracteres da senha conforme solicitado, você deve pressionar a tecla correspondente ao índice de caracteres solicitado e, em seguida, pressionar ENTER.
  4. Após digitar 2 ou 3 caracteres, eles perguntarão se você deseja remover a inicialização segura, diga sim!
  5. O computador será reiniciado, quando você voltar, ele deverá funcionar!

A tela azul aparece apenas durante a primeira reinicialização após a atualização para o Ubuntu 16.04. Eu tive o mesmo problema ao atualizar para o Ubuntu 16.04 e encontrei a seguinte mensagem de erro:

Starting VirtualBox kernel modules ...failed!
  (modprobe vboxdrv failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why)

Também foi causado pela inicialização do UEFI. A solução é bastante simples:

  1. Reinicie sua máquina e entre no menu BIOS (no meu caso, pressione F2)
  2. Procure Inicialização Segura e mude para Legado

    Em uma placa mãe ASUS:

    • Vá para o modo avançado (F7)
    • Vá na opção Inicialização segura na seção Inicialização
    • Altere o "modo UEFI do Windows" por "Outro SO"
    • Salve e reinicie para aplicar as configurações (F10)
  3. Após reiniciar, verifique se os drivers estão carregados

Tipo:

sudo /sbin/rcvboxdrv setup

E você deve obter

Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules ...done.

O mesmo aqui, a dmesgmensagem inicial de "verificação " às vezes é enganosa, pois não há necessariamente nenhum erro ou mensagem lá, que informa sobre o problema.
